Our Love

I sit, pen to paper
and contemplate.
Searching for a way to express the
feelings in me for you.
My heart, so full,
so painfully joyous.

So special is our love
that no words come to me
to capture the essence
of the feelings that I have for you.
And yet I try,
wanting you to know
how much I truly love you.

Our love,
so simple and yet so complicated.
Its everything I wanted
without knowing it existed.
It’s a roller coaster,
a warm summer day.
Its raindrops on my face,
a gentle falling snow while walking in the woods.
Its exciting and comfortable.
Its refreshing and beautiful.

So, though it does not seem adequate
I wonder, would you know what I mean
if I simply say I love you?
