The friends we have made,
are like no other,
virtually connected
a world away,
opening our minds
to life outside of our sheltered
oblivious existence.
Would you say that a friendship
is any less true
because we have only met online,
through pictures and words,
sharing our voices,
our thoughts,
through wires?
Would you say that we don’t know a person
simply because we can’t go out to a movie
or meet for a cup of coffee?
This friendship is more,
than most you have ever had
with someone flesh and blood,
standing in your living room.
You cannot judge
something you do not know
because it is different
and say that you are open minded.
Step away from the sheltered oblivion,
welcome something different into your life.
